TERMS OF SERVICE (Klipid.ee)

These Terms of Service govern the use of the website Klipid.ee and its associated Android mobile application (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to these terms in full.

1. Nature and Purpose of the Service

  • Klipid.ee is an entertainment platform that allows users to view and share short film clips with audio from Estonian cult movies.
  • The Platform is completely free for users, contains no advertisements, and does not require account registration.

2. Intellectual Property and Fair Use

  • All film derivatives, images, and audio files presented on the Platform belong to their original copyright holders (e.g., Tallinnfilm, Eesti Telefilm, etc.).
  • Klipid.ee does not own the copyrights to the movie material. The material is presented as short excerpts for entertainment, quotation, and cultural heritage awareness purposes (fair use).
  • Users have the right to view and share clips for personal, non-commercial purposes (e.g., expressing emotions in private messages or on social media). Use of the clips for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.

3. User Obligations and Prohibited Activities

Users are prohibited from:

  • Using the Platform or its content in any way that violates applicable laws or the rights of third parties.
  • Mass automated downloading (scraping) of the Platform’s content or overloading the Platform’s servers in a way that disrupts the operation of the service.
  • Presenting clips in a context that incites hatred, discrimination, or is otherwise offensive and unlawful.

4. Limitation of Liability

  • The content of the Platform is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, error-free, or that the clips will function on every device.
  • Klipid.ee shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the use or unavailability of the Platform.
  • We are not responsible for the operation or policies of third-party platforms (e.g., communication apps where clips are shared).

5. Amendments to the Terms

  • We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time at our sole discretion. Updated terms will become effective upon their publication on the Platform.
